The D.A.D.S. (Developing Active Dedicated Support) Initiative, aims to redefine what it means to be a father. It is not enough to be a biological parent; to truly make a difference, fathers must become dads—engaged, supportive, and emotionally invested in their children's growth. The initiative envisions a world where fathers step up not only to support their children but also to share the parenting load with single mothers. This creates a ripple effect: children flourish in a well-rounded environment, and single mothers are relieved of undue stress, allowing them greater opportunities to thrive personally and professionally. Our D.A.D.S. objectives are guided by the following vision and mission.
The vision of Oak Hill’s D.A.D.S. (Developing Active Dedicated Support) Initiative is to see a day when most dads are providing their children with full, active, dedicated support.
Oak Hill’s D.A.D.S. Initiative is designed to realize its vision through a multilayered approach that addresses the individual, societal, and systemic factors influencing fatherly involvement.
